Louisiana State Soap Box Derby Lulu Street Racers 7th Annual Derby Daze Soap Box Derby & Car Show Derby Daze, recently designated by Lieutenant Governor Jay Dardenne as the official Louisiana State Soap Box Derby Championship, is held by the Lulu Street Racers in historic downtown Leesville every year. The derby gives children ages 6-17 an opportunity to build their own cars -- based on a specific plan -- and race them downThird Street using gravity as their only source of power.
