Celebrate Lundi Gras to get ready for Mardi Gras! This event is dedicated to preserving and promoting our distinct Cajun and Creole roots that are traced back to the city’s rich history. Opelousas Lundi Gras Celebration is held the day before Mardi Gras day every year. It will feature live music and entertainment Along with the festivities there will be face-painting and a contest for the best Mardi Gras costume with prizes to be given away.
