| The River City Fest will be held on the banks of the Sabine River in the Dennis Freeman Riverfront Memorial Park. River City Fest is held in May. Events include a carnival, Walk-A-Thon (usually to raise funds for various causes), parade, Treasure Hunt (for $500.00 prize), entertainment – various musical groups, cheerleaders, tumblers, etc. Performances on the amphitheater stage throughout the festival; there are craft booths, lots of great food booths, car show, face painting, games of skill, a frog race, organized team competitions such as volleyball, and endurance games. A name band plays for a big dance on Saturday night. A fun time has been ordered for all that attend. Please watch our news announcements for updates. |
