It's the first year for the St. Landry Parish BBQ Festival - a three day weekend of fun, family activities and great FOOD. Bring your apron and tongs to enter the BBQ Cookoff held on Sunday. There's no entry fee and five categories: Best BBQ beef, chicken and pork, Peoples Choice and Best Decorated Booth. There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize trophy for each. A full service carnival will be available to entertain the children. The live music schedule lineup is as follows with times TBD: FRIDAY SATURDAY SUNDAY The purpose of the festival is to raise funds to maintain the Yambilee Building in order to continue hosting agriculture events. |
