The West La. Forestry Festival is held annually during the first full week of October and features rides and shows by The Mighty Thomas Carnival. Other events include, West La. Forestry Festival Queen Pageant and Junior King/Queen Paqeant, 4-H Horse Show and Livestock Show, 4-H Woodsman Skills Contest, Vernon Parish Senior Citizens Day, and the Leesville Lions Club Rodeo. The festival features also offers food from eight local service organizations, exhibits, and vendors.
