Kick off your Mardi Gras season with WYES! Join us in our studio for king cake, conversation, and coffee while learning about the history of Carnival. Hosted by Errol Laborde, author of numerous books on New Orleans Carnival, and Peggy Scott Laborde, host of WYES-TV's "Steppin' Out: It's Carnival Time". Guests will be invited to enjoy king cake and coffee while our hosts talk about the history of Carnival, traditions, and the uniqueness of post-Katrina Mardi Gras. Rare photos of early celebrations will be presented. Q&A to follow. Laissez les bons temps rouler! Purchase your tickets soon as space is limited.
