3 Turkey Rubs

Condiments and Sauces

Serves for 1 Turkey

Ingredients: 

Caribbean Turkey Rub

  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons mustard seed, crushed
  • 1½ teaspoons cracked black pepper
  • 1½ teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger 
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

Mediterranean Turkey Rub

  • 1 tablespoon snipped fresh Italian (flat-leaf) parsley
  • 1 tablespoon snipped fresh oregano
  • 1 tablespoon snipped fresh chives
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1½ teaspoons cracked black pepper
  • 1½ teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Olive oil

 


Savory Roasted Turkey Herb Rub

  • 2 tablespoons sage, rubbed; poultry seasoning may be substituted
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt 
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Method: 

 

For each rub, combine ingredients in a small bowl. Sprinkle evenly over turkey and pat to adhere. Cover and refrigerate about 8 hours before roasting.

 

Note: Mix ingredients together and rub over the entire surface of the turkey, inside and out. Do your best to work the rub in under the skin. Let sit for minimum 2 hours refrigerated
