Apricot Baked Ham

Serves 10 to 12

Ingredients: 
  • 1/2 fully cooked bone-in ham (5 to 7 pounds)
  • 20 whole cloves
  • 1/2 cup apricot preserves
  • 3 tablespoons ground mustard
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

Notes: Ham is a great choice for a holiday meal. It can be had at a good price, it practically cooks itself, and everyone in the family loves it!

Method: 

Place ham on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.

Score the surface of the ham, making diamond shapes 1/2-inch deep; insert a clove in each diamond. Combine preserves and mustard; spread over ham. Pat brown sugar into apricot mixture.

Bake at 325°F for 20 minutes per pound or until a meat thermometer reads 140°F.
