The Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Fall Classic will welcome runners and walkers from across the New Orleans area for the annual race on Saturday, November 2 in scenic City Park. Pre-race registration and festivities begin at 7 a.m. with the starting gun signaling the beginning of the race at 8:30 a.m. Following the race, a post-race party will take place in the City Park practice track infield until 11:30 a.m.

The Crescent City Fall Classic is the only 5k qualifying race for the 2020 Crescent City Classic 10k in April. Race officials with the Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic have restructured the seeded runner qualification times in order to create a more even playing field for all runners and increase seeding opportunities for women runners. Runners looking to qualify for a main corral must meet the following times at the 5k distance to qualify for the new Crescent City Classic 10k times and seedings: 

Corral A: 17 minutes, 30 seconds or under

Corral B: 17 minutes, 31 second to 20 minutes

Corral C: 20 minutes, 1 second to 22 minutes, 30 seconds

Corral D: 22 minutes, 31 seconds to 27 minutes 

“The Fall Classic is a great race for competitive runners, families and walkers and runners of all ages,” said Crescent City Classic Race Director Eric Stuart. “It’s a quick run through beautiful City Park following by a great party afterwards with beer, food and our awards ceremony.”
