The Dragons are coming to Northeast Louisiana--and we need you to join the team! Calling all businesses, fitness groups, youth organizations, and individuals to compete in the Dragon Boat races or participate in family-friendly activities at the event. 

The annual Bayou DeSiard Dragon Boat Festival takes place during the second weekend of May. This unique event raises money for the Children's Coalition for Northeast Louisiana. Working together, teams of 20 race 40-foot boats accompanied by the beat of their team drummer. This year, you can put together your own full or half team or buy a single seat to become part of a new team. Canopies, tents and seats line the banks of the bayou, as spectators enjoy a lively atmosphere over the course of the day with food, drinks and live music. The three fastest teams take home medals and bragging rights, and prizes are handed out for best-dressed drummer, team spirit and "best in show."

Teams race 3 at-a-time in a series of races 
- Food Truck Roundup and Beer Garden
- Main Event stage and tent: Awards Points Board, Race Heat Schedule, Children’s performances and more
- Tent Parade: Visitation of sponsors and teams tents.
- Free Family Field Competitions and Children’s Activities by local youth organizations..
