Anyone who likes to eat, dance, and have fun will enjoy this festival. Calca-Chew Food Festival is an alcohol free festival centered around our French Heritage. Everything about the festival is designed to keep this heritage alive. Foods like Boudin, Etouggee, Jambalaya, and Fried Fish keep everyone taste buds a full alert. Our live auction and silent auction add an extra dimension to the festivities. we always have over 100 silent auction items so there is something for everyone. The children have their own area to play their games and ea their food. Everyone needs to come & pass a good time. If you are a fan of spicy Cajun food you won't want to miss this festival with a variety of Cajun classics including shrimp étouffée, boudin, fried fish, gumbo and barbecue. The French mass starts off the festival at 7 a.m. and during the day, visitors can enjoy games, a live auction, raffles, a petting zoo, train rides and great Cajun music and food.Festival hours are 7 a.m. - 3 p.m., and admission is free.
