 Presented by Louisiana Celtic Connection, a non-profit 501c3 company, Celtic Bayou Festival celebrates Celtic heritage and culture. The two-day celebration will present music, dance, history, language and art that is native to Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Brittany. Celtic Bayou Festival is an event that the whole family can enjoy! 03/15/2019- Friday evening begins with a Lenten CRAWFISH BOIL & IRISH BEER. We will have Irish entertainment as well as Lafayette’s own, Ryan School of Irish Dance performing. 03/16/2019 Saturday kicks off with a over 21 GREEN MILE PUB CRAWL beginning 9:30am-noon. Our grand Marshall will be MARC BROUSSARD! Over 21’s can join in by wearing green and parading with us down Jefferson St. and celebrating with Irish drink specials at each stop. The festival begins at 12 noon. We will have 3 music stages, whiskey tasting, dancing, redhead contest, freckles contest, a children’s tent, a genealogy tent, craft and food vendors and an authentic Irish Pub built by our Irish Staff and more! Local and IRISH MUSICIANS will be performing. The children’s tent will have Irish crafts, face painting, a pot o’ gold treasure hunt and Irish & Scottish dance displays. Our Cultural tent will have guest speakers discussing the comparisons of the Cajun and Celtic cultures, traditional musicians and singers from Ireland and songs from Brittany as well as a young musicians Irish music competition. Our Pub will provide live pub songs, WHISKEY TASTING, Irish coffee bar and serve our festival punch. One of our highlighted events is a GUINNESS COOK-OFF. Each team is to cook a savory dish on site, utilizing Guinness in their recipe. This is a unique cooking competition sure to give national attention! We also will have a BAILEY’S BAKE-OFF where deserts and sweets can be dropped off and judged. Prizes will be awarded for both competitions.

Admission Cost:  ADMISSION friday is $10.00 with kids 12 and under free. (Pre-orders for Crawfish are available on our website). Saturday admission is $15.00 with kids 12 and under free. A weekend pass for both Friday and Saturday is only $20.00.
