Christmas at the Courthouse | |
Time: | 3:00 pm to 7 pm |
This holiday season, residents are invited to the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury’s “Christmas at the Courthouse” celebration. The merriment begins Friday, December 2nd at 3:00 pm, when Mr. and Mrs. Claus will bring their jolly elves to the courthouse lawn at 1001 Ryan Street, in Lake Charles. Families can take free photos with the Claus family, their elves, and several special guests from the North Pole! Photos can then be found online following the event on our Facebook page holiday photo album on www.facebook.com/CalcasieuParishPoliceJury. The festivities continue at 4:30 pm with a musical performance by the T.S. Cooley Elementary School Choir and the Sulphur Show Choir before we flip the switch at 5:00 pm to light up the Courthouse. Then families are encouraged to enjoy the magical atmosphere after sunset with a Christmas double feature showing of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at 5:30 pm and “A Mickey Mouse Christmas Carol” starting at 6:00 pm. Free popcorn, hot chocolate and other drinks will be available on site |
