Minden will celebrate its German heritage and host the Fasching Karneval "Mardi Gras" and Parade on Saturday, February 11 This will be the 20th year that Minden Main Street has produced the Minden Mardi Gras Parade and the 5th year Minden will celebrate "Fasching". Fasching in the German version of Mardi Gras. 

A full day of festival activities is planned beginning at 10:00 AM in historic downtown Minden with carnival rides, clowns, stilt walkers and face painting, culminating with the parade at 5:30 PM. Admission is free. "The Fasching is a family friendly and safe parade, with free and easy parking".
