 Feliciana Hummingbird Festival
Time: 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m

National WildBird Refuge will host a great Hummingbird show at their 400-acre site in the heart of the beautiful Tunica Hills.  The entrance to the site is at 15736 Tunica Trace, Tunica LA on Highway 66.  Experts say this area has the best Hummingbird habitat in the country. Birders are amazed at the number of birds that come to the feeders.  And, for the wild at heart there are hiking trails.

Noted Hummingbird Expert:  Marty Floyd and others will be banding here from 7 am until 3 pm.  The National WildBird Refuge site is the subject of a HumFest study that is now in its 19th year.  It focuses on the breeding and migrating Ruby-throated Hummingbird population.  And, much is being learned and enjoyed of the birds’ and their comings and goings.Bring the kids:  Children love it!  There are a lot worse things that they can get into these days than learning about and watching birds.

At the site there will be tents with vendors and exhibits.  Vendors will have hummingbird loving plants; Wild Birds Unlimited will have all sorts of birding equipment, feeders, binoculars, etc. at their tent; and much much more.  Admission is free at the site.
