Mix, mingle and enjoy another southern icon--the beautifully restored, historic Southern Hotel at 428 E. Boston Street in charming downtown Covington, Louisiana. 

Guests will enjoy lively music by the Ben Redwine Trio and stellar cuisine by Del Porto Ristorante, Oxlot 9, Gallager’s Grill, Pardo’s American Bistro, English Tea Room & Eatery and The Dakota. Special guest Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser will be in attendance to speak on the significance of the arts to Louisiana’s culture, and other local official may be in attendance. A popular feature of the event is an art auction, with works for bid by Carol Hallock, Robert Santopadre, Gretchen Armbruster, Cynthia Webb, John Marc Anderson, Paul Gruer and more.

The event will be held from 7pm to 10pm on May 20, 2017. Single tickets are $75. Advance tickets are available at Eventbrite.com. Tickets will be sold at the door if available; however, the event is expected to sell out. Follow the organization on Facebook for ticketing updates.

The community- and member-supported arts center in downtown Covington presents the fundraising event in the height of spring, just before its summer art and theater camps for kids ages 6-12; proceeds of the event will support such educational programming. Since 1958, the St. Tammany Art Association has been at the center of cultural activities in Covington, presenting art exhibitions and educational opportunities for children and adults alike.
