Instant Pot Boiled Eggs

Submitted by susan

Perhaps the handiest use for the Instant Pot is making boiled eggs. Put about an inch of water in the pressure cooker insert, add a trivet, and arrange eggs (not touching each other or the edges of the insert) on the trivet. Seal and cook under pressure: 3 minutes for soft boiled, 4-5 for medium, or 6 to 7 for hard boiled eggs. Quick-release the pressure and use tongs to transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water; when cooled, they will all but fall from their shells, they peel so easily.
