DESCRIPTION:  First Annual Texaco Country Showdown - Local Competition.  Ten hopeful competitors will compete in a National Country Music talent search.  The winner of the local competition will advance to the Texaco Country Showdown - Louisiana State Finals on October 13, 2012 in Logansport. Louisiana.  In addition to the competition, the Louisiana State Museum, Mansfield Female College will be open for visitors, food & arts/craft vendors will be on site.  Civil War Re-enactors will also be on site.   Come to Mansfield, Louisiana for the first DeSoto Parish Texaco Country Showdown - Local Competition.
