Fire and Water Rural Arts Celebration is a one day event that showcases creative talent produced primarily in Acadiana as well as the French culture. Born following the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Fire and Water originally featured signature floating fires and showcased the work of visual artists with only a sampling of other artistic disciplines; however, over the last several years the event has expanded to become more of a celebration featuring a multitude of artists, music performers and cultural workers in a variety of disciplines and genres. All activities are FREE and open to the public.
