The Louisiana Chicken Festival is held the fourth Friday and Saturday in September each year. The Chicken Festival features live entertainment on Friday night.  Arts and crafts booths and food booths are set up on Friday. Carnival rides and games are available for all ages to enjoy.  Bingo games with great prizes are also held on Friday night.  The fourth Saturday of September is the main festival day.  Featured events are Chicken Cooking Contests, Quilt Raffle, “The Strut, Cackle, and Crow Contests”, Cake Walk, 5-K Run, Drumstick Eating Contest, children’s activities, and live entertainment all day.  Recent additions to the event list include a Quilt Show held in the historic Scott Hamilton Warehouse and a Poker Run which is great fun for motorcycle riders.  All profits made by DRABO are used in projects that benefit the entire town of Dubach.
