Early last year a group of community-minded music lovers realized a need to recognize people with local connections who had made major contributions to the arts.



By celebrating that heritage in a first-class festival with Blues music at its core, they wanted to empower the local population and help turn around its struggling economy while providing a premiere cultural event for the entire region.



Just nine months later, the first BBHF attracted people from throughout Louisiana, plus Florida, Texas and other states who, a la Woodstock, smiled, laughed and danced in the daylong rain, then vowed to grab friends and return for BBHF II.



The music was extraordinary, they said. The people were fantastic, and the venue was stunning!



Now the organizers are making certain those people and anybody who might have missed the fun last year will not be disappointed.
