Petanque is a played with chrome balls about the size of a baseball and rolled on the ground and on formal courts as found in France. All skill levels are invited to participate in the tournament, including first time players. Nationally ranked players from Texas and beyond as well as internationally ranked players from France and Belgium come for the good time to be had. 

Handmade Louisiana awards and trophies are provided as well as manufactured items from Obut, the premier maker of all things petanque. Gift baskets are awarded to the players who traveled the farthest and to the youngest player participating with their parents. Louisiana food is sold to participants, their cheerleaders, and families. 
A ceremonial outdoor supper in the evening is celebrated with live Louisiana music. The event is small, but high quality that you will never forget. Come and hear (and speak if you can) some French from all around the world. Come and pass a good time in the Louisiana spring.
