A friend posted this question on Facebook over the weekend-- she asked who'd inventoried the contents of their pantry (and/or freezer) and found a supply of something they weren't quite sure how to use. She, and others, then replied with ideas and recipes using that item.
I have enough lentils to stock a lentil store, I have no idea why I have so many of them. I guess because I keep reading how healthy they are-- but they're not doing my health any good sitting in the pantry! My mint plant escaped its pot this winter and has taken over a corner, so that also goes on my list of what I have in excess. I foresee mint and lentil salads in my future!
