 CACRC's Free Recycling Event
Time: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

If you are wondering what to do with your old electronics after the Holidays we have the solution. The Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council (CACRC) is offering TWO weeks of free recycling plus a Saturday, January 17th, for all businesses and residents in the Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. All fees are waived for drop offs. This will begin on January 19th and end on January 30th. We hope to help the community responsibly recycle their old electronics in 2015.

After the Holidays many of us face boxes of old electronics. This includes old cellphones, phones, cords, mice, and other peripherals as well as computers, laptops, monitors. You can drop off items from 8:30AM to 4:00PM at our warehouse located at 1400 Main Street where our crew will unload it for you. You can receive a donation voucher and a certificate of data destruction upon request. For those people that cannot get to our facility during the week the CACRC is going to be open Saturday January 17th from 8AM to 12PM. If you are on your way downtown to the Farmer's Market just swing by!

Items that are acceptable to recycle include:

Computer hardware, Computer Accessories (keyboards, mice, speakers, etc.), CRT Monitors, Flat screen monitors, Printers, Telephones, Telephone systems, Security systems, Cell phones/bag phones, Beepers, Networking equipment, Fax machines, Circuit boards (of any type), Processors, Telephone and computer cable, dvd and vcr players, stereo equipment, speakers, any type of cord, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Toner cartridges, and Ink jet cartridges.

We do NOT accept Televisions, Appliances, Copiers or Furniture.

The Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council is an R2-certified nonprofit organization committed to electronic scrap reduction by providing recycled computers and equipment to schools, nonprofits, and low-income families through the generous contributions of supporters, which include business, nonprofits, individuals, and federal agencies.

In implementing a rigorous material management strategy set by the international Responsible Recycling Practices program, the CACRC follows downstream and data material safely until the end of life product, and is the only R2 RIOS certified recycler in Louisiana.
