| Chiasson’s BBQ Cookoff to benefit Killian Police Department and Dive Team on Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Laginappe Restaurant, 30161 La. 22, Springfield. Entry fee $50. Sponsorships $150 with compamy banner display and two wrist bands. $10 for all you can eat at 1 p.m. food, music, car show, spacewalk, waterslide, face painting and more.
