St. Landry Catholic Church, known as the mother church of southwest Louisiana, invites everyone to celebrate its 300 plus years of history. This event recognizes the history of the Catholic church and the families who’ve congregated there for centuries. Organizers encourage St. Landry Parish natives to return to the town of Opelousas during the festival to reunite with family and friends. The event has several educational and entertaining activities including a color run, cook-off, live music, and tours of the church and cemetery.
