The majestic oaks of John Davis Park in Lacombe has for 36 years been the setting of Lacombe’s annual Crab Festival.

This year’s entertainment line-up includes Tab Benoit, Cyril Neville and Swamp Funk, Chubby Carriere, Waylon Thibodeaux, The Shotgun Jazz Band, Witness, Benny Turner and Real Blues, Benny Grunch and The Bunch, Christian Serpas and Supercharger.

Professional chefs will serve a delicious variety of crab and seafood dishes including crab cakes remoulade, char broiled oysters, shrimp and crawfish etouffee, soft shell po-boys and much more. There’ll be barbecue and sausage offerings for the meat eater as well. No appetite will be left unattended!

An all new addition to Crabfest Lacombe this year will be the “Claws for the Cause” motorcycle poker run sponsored by Ride of The Brotherhood. ROTB is a non-profit organization founded to support U.S. Military Veterans. The Poker Run will originate and finish at the festival headquarters in John Davis Park, Lacombe. All riders will enjoy complimentary V.I.P. motorcycle parking on 12^th street alongside the festival. Information on Claws for the Cause can be found at www.rideofthebrotherhood.org. 

Families will be thrilled to hear that the children’s attractions are FREE all weekend. The “Family Village” area of the park will include inflatable bounce houses and slides for the younger set along with interactive wildlife experiences to entertain and educate.
