The Council of the Town of Jean Lafitte, it's residents, and all of Jefferson, you are invited to celebrate 200 years of Louisiana culture and heritage in Jefferson Parish at the Jean Lafitte Seafood Festival August 11-12, 2012. The Lafitte Seafood Festival is Jefferson's celebration of Louisiana's culture, heritage, strength, food, and perseverance! The people of Lafitte and surrounding area of Jefferson know a thing or two about overcoming tough times and sharing the good times. Our hard-working residents are proud of their unique bayou culture that has endured for centuries and can be seen in its hospitable residents, restaurants and businesses. Come celebrate with the BEST seafood dishes, artisan booths, craft vendors, storytelling, kid's activities and special Bicentennial activities at the Lafitte Seafood Festival!
Enjoy live entertainment daily, food vendors, artisans and craftsmen. Admission is $10.00 per adult, and free for children 12 years and younger. Times will be announced soon. Parking is available in the rear of City Hall and the Museum.
