VP Tourism teams up with Museum of West La. for cookbook festival

Building off of the success of the inaugural cookbook festival, the Vernon Parish Tourism Commission is teaming up with the Museum of West Louisiana this fall to put on the Betty Welch Memorial Chicken and Dumplings Cookoff and the Vernon Parish Cookbook Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 20 in downtown Leesville.

Louisiana Kitchen & Culture publisher Susan Ford will be on hand to judge the chicken and dumplings cook off. For more information, visit the Leesville Daily Leader.
