For the 37th year, the Louisiana Wildfowl Carvers & Collectors Guild 
presents the Louisiana Wildfowl Festival at Mandeville's Castine Center at Pelican Park. 

With 75 categories of carving, wildlife fine art and student art competitions, carvers from all over the United States enter to win over $40,000 in prizes. The Festival also hosts a fine art wildlife painting competition and student indigenous bird art competition. 

Visitors can enjoy great food and watch carving demonstrations, participate in an auction and see live birds courtesy of New Orleans' Audubon Zoo. 

Admission is $5 for adults and $1 for children. Competing students and artists are admitted free. The event takes place 9am to 6pm Saturday and 9am to 4pm Sunday.
