Madisonville Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration
Time:  2:00 pm
The celebration starts off at 2:00 pm with a parade through town starting at the Maritime Museum and ending at the Riverfront in front of Town Hall. Families, groups, bands and kids with decorated bikes are all invited to be in the parade. The parade ends with a tribute to veterans on the lawn of Madisonville Town Hall; veterans are encouraged to contact organizers to inquire about riding in the parade.

The event is free to the public

Activities for the kids include games like tug-of-war and an egg toss, as well as the Miss Madisonville Beauty Pageant for girls ages 4-10. For the adults, a Winner-Take-All horseshoe tournament – register on website early in the day as slots fill quickly.

Enjoy DJ music, hot-dogs, corn-on-the-cob and a variety of down home delights including a watermelon eating contest and a decorated bike contest. Fireworks begin just after dark.
