Northshore Picnic With a Purpose
Time: 1 pm to 5 pm
Bring the whole family to Fontainebleau State Park on Saturday, May 11, 1-5pm, for "Northshore Picnic With a Purpose" — the inaugural fundraising event of the Safe Haven Foundation to fund construction of the Family Promise Day Center.

For this picnic, no need to bring your own basket; fresh, succulent seafood is provided by Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board, including shrimp, catfish, and crawfish (prepared by Geaux Creole), as well as jambalaya by Patton's Caterers, with a sno-ball truck for cool treats.

The day's events include live entertainment by Four Unplugged and The Prescriptions, with lots of family activities, including:

Canoeing and kayaking by Canoe & Trail Adventures

Inflatables

Miniature horses from Quinn-Tate Farms

Face painting by Fontainebleau High School art students

Pick-a-Duck by Trinity Counseling Center, LLC in Mandeville

Squad car tours from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office

Fire truck tours, equipment demonstrations and handouts from the St. Tammany Parish Fire Department. Tickets available on Eventbrite or contact Family Promise directly for paper tickets at director@fpstp.org.

Included in the ticket prices is all food, non-alcoholic beverages and entertainment. Adult beverages will be available for purchase.
