The Orange Festival is a great time for the whole family with nonstop entertainment ranging from live music on two stages from some of the best local bands, carnival rides for kids of all ages, the Children's Revue Fun Pageant, a 5K Run/Walk, fun contests for everyone from duck calling to orange peeling, helicopter rides and so much more to enjoy. Pie Eating, Sack Races, Shoe Find, Orange Rolling, Egg Carry, Orange Eating and Peeling Contest, Children's Revue Fun Pageant (Open to Children ages 6 through 12 years who were residents prior to Hurricane Katrina or are now residents of Plaquemines Parish). Activities and Entertainment, Carnival Rides, 5K Run/Walk, Helicopter rides available from Jesuit Bend Helicopters to view local sites.Seafood Contest for Adults: Shrimp-Peeling and De-Heading,Catfish-Skinning, Oyster Shucking, Duck Calling, Orange Eating, Orange Peeling - the longest peel and unusual or decorative peel |
