LSU Rural Life Museum Harvest Days 
Time: 8:00 am until 5:00 pm
 

The LSU Rural Life Museum presents the 19th annual Harvest Days on Saturday, September 27 - 28, 2014. This educational event will interpret life in the 19th century rural Louisiana during the fall harvest.. Living history demonstrations by 25 renowned Louisiana artisans will focus on many types of agricultural and household activities common on plantations and farms during harvest time. Demonstrations will include, plowing, syrup making, blacksmithing, soap and candle making, timber framing, and open hearth cooking. 

Visitors can participate in many of these demonstrations and activities. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. Make sure to visit the Museum’s Gift Shop where many of the artisan made items can be purchased.

Harvest Days will be entertaining for all ages. Children will enjoy numerous hands-on activities and old-fashioned games. Admission  
The LSU Ag Center at Burden Center will also offer numerous activities such as a Corn Maze, face painting, 
produce market, and a pumpkin patch for additional $5.00 each person (children 5 and under free).

Admission Cost:  $9.00 per adult person (12 years and older), $8.00 per senior adult (62 years and older) children ages 6yrs. To 11 yrs. $8.00 (children 5 and under free).
