If you’re dreaming of a White Christmas, you can get that and a lot more at Sulphur’s Christmas Under the Oaks Festival, held at 1211 Ruth St. in Heritage Square. The celebration kicks off with a Holiday House Preview Party from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30. Enjoy great food and music, and a holiday market with unique gift items. Tickets cost $35 and must be purchased in advance from the Henning Cultural Center. Proceeds benefit the Brimstone Historical Society. Don’t miss the Kiwanis Christmas Lighted Parade on Friday at 6 p.m. It will feature plenty of lighted floats and balloons - the only parade of its kind in the area. A live nativity scene will begin at 7 p.m. in the Grove, followed by the lighting of the Christmas tree at 8 p.m. Carnival rides run from 5 – 10 p.m. On Saturday, Houston River Baptist Church will host a live nativity at 6 p.m., followed by a 100% chance of snow at 7:30 p.m in Heritage Square. Carnival rides run from noon – 10 p.m. There will also be live entertainment all weekend. Carnival wristbands are $20.
