When:
Jun 15, 2013 to Jun 16, 2013

Bunkie will celebrate the 27th Annual Corn Festival on June 14, 15, &16, 2013. The Festival was started by the Bunkie Chamber of Commerce in 1987 to promote our city. The name Louisiana Corn Festival was given to honor the impact that agriculture has in our economy and a Corn Farmer is honored each year. This three day festival has something for all ages. Opening ceremonies are Friday, at 5:00pm and at that time the large carnival, food booths and arts & craft booths are open for business. There are live bands each night with a street dance, games, contests, lizard races, corn cooking contest, children’s parade and city wide parade. There is a tennis and softball tournament going on all weekend. On Sunday is our Talent Contest. The talent contest has cash prizes and bracelet days for carnival. So follow the rows of corn down to Bunkie, where you are sure to have a good time

It's warmth, friendship, and happy spirit that makes the Louisiana Corn Festival a must-do for people throughout the state. All proceeds of the festival are put back into the festival, its grounds, and projects throughout the city.

You may reach the Corn Festival from US Hwy 71 by turning onto LA 29. If you are approaching from I-49, take exit 46 and continue to Bunkie. For further information, contact the Bunkie Chamber of Commerce at 318 346-2575 or P.O. Box 70, Bunkie, LA 71322.
