Krewe of Cypress Mardi Gras Ball @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm To be held at the Plaquemine Civic Center. The public is welcome to attend as “balcony spectators” and must enter the Civic Center by using the outside stairway entrance.  Balcony spectator tickets are available for purchase at the door. Admission to the ballroom floor during the Tableau is limited to Krewe members and invited guests only. Invitations and proper attire are required for Tableau admission.

  • Slidell, Mystic Krewe of Perseus – 1:30pm Theme:  They All Aks’d for You www.kreweofperseus.com Founded in 1970, Perseus hosts a thirteen-float parade with riders donning his or her own handmade costume. The Krewe’s 170 members throw hand-decorated plastic crabs, crab beads, slap bracelets, and cups. Route loads up at Fritchie Park and begins at Salmen High School. Immediately follows Slidellians’ parade.
  • Pearl River, Krewe of Pearl River Lions Club – 1pm Theme: Geaux Louisiana Founded in 1953, the popular day parade begins at Pearl River High School and continues south on Highway 41, turning left at the light onto Hwy. 3081 and ending at the Pearl River Town Hall on Willis Alley. Supports the LA Lions Eye Foundation and Crippled Children’s Camp and hosts an annual senior citizens’ dinner for the town.
  • Lafayette, Courir de Mardi Gras, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Vermilionville's Historic Village Join Bayou Vermilion District’s Vermilionville on February 12th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. as they bring a traditional country Mardi Gras run to the city for their annual Courir de Mardi Gras with the Basile Mardi Gras Association. Admission is $5; children under 3 get in free.

Keeping the identity of King Zeus a secret until the parade, members ride on floats, trucks and horses interspersed with marching bands from across the Northshore. Starts in front of St. Tammany Parish Justice Center on Columbia St. and follows a route along Hwy 21/Boston St. to Jefferson, 15th, Tyler, W. 23rd and back through downtown again.

King Neptune’s Marching Society precedes the boat parade by marching down Water Street to the reviewing stand.

The only co-ed krewe that parades at night. Starts in Fritchie Park.
  • St. Amant, Krewe of Diversion 23rd Annual Mardi Gras Boat Parade ,  at noon.   All proceeds benefit St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Boats will travel down the Diversion Canal  from Canal Bank Bar at the Diversion Canal Bridge to the weir then up the Amite River to Manny’s Bar, where the parade will end.  Food and St Jude items will be available for sale at Manny’s and there will be a live auction at 5:30 or when all boats have made it to Manny’s

  • Lake Charles, Krewe of Omega Parade - 2:00pm. The Krewe of Omega Mardi Gras parade will be held in downtown Lake Charles. The krewe also gives service awards to those who participate in the improvement of the community and its people. Krewe of Omega was formed to bring Mardi Gras activities to the black community. To this day, it is the only Southwest Louisiana krewe to hold its own parade.   • Houma, Krewe of Tradition. - 1 pm, The Krewe of Tradition is a hand-made parade. It is a showcase for visual and performance artists in Houma, LA and those who travel in for our most wonderful time of the year, Mardi Gras. We have but one rule, no motorized vehicles.

    The big day is on Mardi Gras Day (we do cancel for inclement weather) Krewe of Tradition marching members parade at 1:00. The foot parade starts at South LA Feed & Seed, proceeds to Courthouse Square, then returns to Le Petit Theater. We are lead by a brass band comprised of local musicians, and we are joined this year by members of the Cajun Rollergirls. We throw hand made necklaces and trinkets made from upcycled materials rather than the metallic beads. The contest at Le Petit Theater will begins at 1:30. The royal court of six winners will be crowned by 2:00 pm before the Krewe of Houmas parade arrives downtown. Judges priority goes to handmade costumes and children in costume.

  • Opelousas , Half Fast Krewe of Frank’s Mardi Gras Parade - 11:00 am. The 17th Annual Half-Fast Krewe of Frank Mardi Gras parade has earned a reputation for being family friendly with at least 30 floats, lots of beads, marching bands and dance troupes. The parade lasts approximately an hour starting at the 600 block of East Landry Street heading west to pass Courthouse Square then turn up Bellevue Street to head back to its starting point.
