| Bring the whole family to Fontainebleau State Park on Saturday, May 11, 1-5pm, for "Northshore Picnic With a Purpose" — the inaugural fundraising event of the Safe Haven Foundation to fund construction of the Family Promise Day Center.
For this picnic, no need to bring your own basket; fresh, succulent seafood is provided by Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board, including shrimp, catfish, and crawfish (prepared by Geaux Creole), as well as jambalaya by Patton's Caterers, with a sno-ball truck for cool treats. The day's events include live entertainment by Four Unplugged and The Prescriptions, with lots of family activities, including: Canoeing and kayaking by Canoe & Trail Adventures Included in the ticket prices is all food, non-alcoholic beverages and entertainment. Adult beverages will be available for purchase. |
