Chef Eric Johnson & Co. - Setting a new standard in culinary services in Northeast Louisiana

Tara

For this culinary adventure, I can honestly say that it is my utmost pleasure to do a review on a truly fantastic eatery located at 222 Blanchard Street in West Monroe, Louisiana.  This wonderful gem is situated in a prime location for businesses on and/or around the Cypress Street, Thomas Road, North 7th Street business population, as well as for those diners who are traveling along I-20.

Upon a patron’s entrance to Chef Eric Johnson’s establishment one will notice the daily lunch specials prominently displayed on a board in the entranceway, a perfect placement to catch patron’s eyes at the onset of your visit to this wonderful eatery.

Walking up to the counter to place your order, your will be met with what can only be best described as “hospitality with a smile”.  Everything was placed nicely, the items in the cooler were fresh and vibrant, and the homemade cakes were prominently displayed in view for ease of selection for each diner.

Once your order was placed, you will take your seat in the spotless dining area to wait for delivery of your meal.  During my wait, there is always a charming young lady who frequents my table and refilled my tea glass with the utmost courtesy and professionalism.

Now, the food!  Today I indulged in the Thai Chile Grilled Shrimp, served with a vibrant green salad and grilled broccoli, while my guest opted for the chicken parmesan over angel hair pasta.

My shrimp were perfectly cooked, beautiful in presentation, and not over done in the least.  The flavors were ever paramount and the fresh broccoli was grilled to perfection.  The chicken parmesan was seasoned sublimely with the exact amount of flavoring, while retaining that lovely moisture one so longs for in a chicken dish.

As a special note, Chef Eric is a very humble and personable host to each of his guests, taking the time to meet and greet each person who dined with him during the course of their visit.

Nearing your departure, and if you should save room, Chef Eric proudly displays his family made lemon cake- which is delectably tart and not overly sugary, a key lime cake – with amazing balance of sweetness while retaining the essence of a key lime pie, and a scrumptious strawberry cream cake that is the epitome of fruity bliss!

Each and every bite, from start to delectable finish was a culinary masterpiece on the palatable canvas of flavor!  This foodie absolutely cannot wait to go back and dine again with Chef Eric Johnson & Co.!
