Add water and sugar to a saucepan and cook over a medium flame until it reaches a boil. Cook for 1 -2 minutes until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let sit to cool to room temperature.
Use simple syrup in a recipe or store it in a clean glass jar with a lid. Store in the refrigerator for up to a 6 months.
This recipe can be doubled or tripled.
