Skillet Tortellini with Sausage and Cherry Tomatoes

Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat until shimmering. Add sausage and cook, breaking up meat with wooden spoon, until no longer pink, about 4 minutes.
Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add 4 cups water, pasta, and ¼ teaspoon salt and bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender, about 15 minutes.
Stir in tomatoes and cook until slightly softened, about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste, drizzle with olive oil to taste, and sprinkle with basil. Serve.
