Alma Plantation Harvest Festival Exhibit
Time: Sat. 10:00 am-4:00 pm, Sun. noon - 4:00pm
Spend the weekend with us at the Poydras Museum and wander the halls to get a peak inside the Harvests of Pointe Coupee. Local farms and crops that have flourished throughout time in Pointe Coupee Parish will be presented up close and personal. Smell, touch and see the tools, the instruments, and the equipment that allowed farmers and landowners to make a living here in Pointe Coupee. All ages are invited to attend this free exhibit. Everything you will experience will bring you clarity of why Harvest in Pointe Coupee is a special, busy, but rewarding time. All items on display are authentic and completely local. Visit tractors of different eras, implementations, farm tools and special appearances from our most popular crops: Sugarcane, Pecans, Soybeans, Corn, and Cotton.
