The annual "Papa George Fairchild Jambalaya Cook-off" benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Local cooks and some from surrounding areas will be cooking chicken jambalaya on wood just like Papa George used to do. Bring your lawn chairs and sit under the old oak trees visiting with old friends and make new ones while helping St. Jude Children's Hospital. Jambalaya will be sold for $5.00 served with white beans and bread, starting at 11 am. The ladies of the area will be selling all kinds of delicious sweets! There will be a mini-pot cook-off for the children starting at 10:30 am.
