Hello, we don't often send emails to our registered visitors but a lot has been happening here at Louisiana Kitchen and we're proud of what we have accomplished in just a few months.
- Please visit the web site (if you haven't lately) Louisiana Kitchen and you will discover many new recipes searchable by ingredients, courses, chefs and more. Most of our recipes are traditional Louisiana and southern favorites as well as tasty and unique recipes from other parts of the country. All list the source, ingredients, methods and provide an image of the finished plate.
- We are beginning to add additional categories e.g. low carb, 30 minute, holiday - this is a work in progress and we will roll it out for your comments soon.
- You can now find an extensive Events calendar for all Louisiana. We think you'll approve of our focus on the family, festival, 4-H, outdoors(hunting, fishing) and community sponsored events. You are welcome to add your group's activity any time.
- Read Susan and Jyl's (our two founders) blogs. They write often enough to keep you interested in their goings on without becoming tedious, check them out, I think you'll enjoy their perspectives.
- If you're looking to buy local (we encourage this very much) check our listings of farmers markets around the state - you're sure to find one close to where you live. When you buy local your produce tastes better and your local farmers benefit along with you.
- Susan and Jyl get invited out often enough that Susan decided to keep a photo journal you can visit her gallery on the home page.
- Almost forgot to mention we have some very nicely done video cooking demos available in the top navigation bar on every page.
One last thing our premiere issue of Louisiana Kitchen magazine will be available at the end of March. Our goal is 1000 subscribers by the time we launch in late March. Help us reach our goal if you can. You can subscribe here.
Well, I hope you can see how busy and excited we are about our new venture. Please stop by won't you, we have more coming and your ideas, suggestions, criticisms are always important to us. Drop us a note.
Best regards from all of us
