Combine all ingredients in a tall glass. Mix well and garnish with a lime wheel.
Pour the Southern Comfort, lime juice and cranberry juice into a shaker with ice, and shake well. Strain into a sour or Collins glass.
Other variations on this recipe use grenadine instead of cranberry juice or peach liqueur instead of Southern Comfort.
Note: Some claim this drink was invented in 1939 as a tie-in to the film when Rhett and Scarlett honeymoon in New Orleans.
