Fried Mushrooms with Creole Tomato Salad Dressing

Serves 8

  • 1 package of white mushrooms or baby portobellos 
  • Equal parts of flour and lemon-flavored fish fry 
  • salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste
  • 1 egg and milk to make egg wash
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Fried Mushrooms with Creole Tomato Dressing

Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 350˚F (175˚C).  Wet mushrooms and add to flour mixture in small batches.  Then add to egg wash and back to flour mixture. 

Add mushrooms to hot oil and fry until golden brown.

Serve hot with Cousins Creole Tomato to dip.
